The Assembly will be held at the Macomb County Intermediate School District’s (MISD) new Educational Service Center. It is aptly named - it is a center for education. Most days, its training rooms are filled with "students" - teachers and other educators who themselves are learning. Last year some 26,000 participants attended workshops and meetings on education-related topics hosted by the MISD.
MISD helps schools look to the future by providing leadership and assistance that strengthens teaching and learning in Macomb County.

The Assembly site and hotels are a 50 minute drive from
Detroit-Metro Airport and are very easy to find. We recommend that you
rent a car. We DO NOT recommend that you take a taxi to and from
the airport, as the cost will be prohibitive.
A reduced rate for ground transportation to and from DTW Airport is available
through Airport Bus & Limo. To receive this special
$75 rate check the box on the registration form. TLC will send you further
instructions with your confirmation packet. You
must reserve your ride directly through Airport Bus & Limo at (586)
415-9065.
A free shuttle service to and from the hotels listed above to the Assembly
site (5-minute drive or a long walk) will be provided each morning and
at end of each day. To take advantage of this service please check the
box on the registration form.
Several hotels are located within a 5-minute drive of the Assembly location. Prices range from $89-$139 per night plus tax. Mention TLC to get these special rates. These rates are available until June 20, 2008. An alphabetical list of hotels are as follows:

TLC’s books, videos and interventions will also be available for purchase. If you would like to pre-order TLC resources for pick-up at the Assembly use either the registration form or online registration.
Continental breakfast and lunch are included. Coffee, and tea will be available throughout the day. Some vegitarian selections are included in the buffet.
Over 30 restaurants, fast food chains, a large mall, hundreds of shops, and a movie theatre are all within a 10-minute drive time of the hotels and many are within walking distance.

Other attractions include Detroit’s Greektown, and Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers. Take a drive over to Windsor (bring your passport), the only place where Canada is south of the U.S. Visit Greenfield Village or the Henry Ford Museum or take a longer drive (2 hours) to Frankenmuth and shop at Bronner’s, which has the world’s largest selection of Christmas ornaments.
