TLC Founder and Director

 From the Director

Dear Colleagues,

On July 15-18, 2008 we are holding our third annual Childhood Trauma Practitioners Assembly in Michigan. This Assembly will provide you with the opportunity to meet with your peers, as well as learn from a variety of childhood trauma practitioners who work with varied and unique groups of traumatized children: special needs students, foster children, at-risk adjudicated youth, infants and toddlers, sexually abused children, adolescents, families and other diverse populations exposed to either violent and assaultive trauma, or non-violent trauma-inducing incidents.

The Assembly offers different workshops that will expose you to a variety of practices in the field of childhood trauma, as well as the opportunity to complete Level 1 or Level 2 TLC Certification. This is a practitioners assembly. It is about giving you those practical strategies and programs that the presenters, themselves, have found to be most helpful.

Since 1995 TLC intervention programs have been field-tested and successfully undergone evidenced-based research. At the Assembly you will receive practical, immediately usable practice strategies. Every attendee will receive a CD containing Assembly Workshop handouts.

I look forward to seeing you at the Assembly!
